Try a pair of stretchy trousers.  A 7/8 length pant or capri are a really nice length to keep your pants out of the bike chain.  Pair it with a tank and fitted utility jacket for a little flair.

If your trek to the office in under 10 miles, you don't always have to wear a full bike kit. It is nice to not have to carry a change of clothes to the office.   These options allow you to travel light.  

One tip: If you want to arrive to work fresh, leave in good time so you can ride at a casual pace.
